Kiska was a 46-47 year old female Icelandic killer whale that lived at MarineLand Ontario. She was captured in October of 1979 and died on the 9th of March, 2023 from a bacterial infection. She was the only orca to live 10+ years without other cetaceans and was the last surviving captive orca that presently resided in Canada.

The 2000s

In September 2011, a rumor came out that Kiska was(finally) pregnant with Ikaika's calves. Apparently, they were twins(male and female), and were due around December 2012, suggesting that she was 4 months pregnant at the time. However, many people debunked this rumor, saying that Ikaika didn't spend enough time with Kiska during the summer of 2011, or that Kiska was past her gestation period. Others argued that she had been with Ikaika so long that it was reasonable he had got her pregnant after finally becoming more mature. Several years later, the creator of the rumor confirmed that she was not pregnant, and the information was indeed false.
